Megan Burnside was trained as a DONA birth doula in 2013. She sees a need for improved support for expecting families, especially in PEI, where midwifery attended births are currently not possible. In 2017, she gave birth to her son, and her doula's support throughout pregnancy and labour reconfirmed her belief that doulas can have a huge positive impact on the birth and postpartum experience. She wants all women to feel informed, empowered and supported during pregnancy, labour and postpartum, and sees her role as a doula as doing just that.
In her spare time, Megan volunteers with the Midwifery Advocacy group, gardens and runs an AirBnB. She is trained as a potter, and will soon find some time for that again too!
I am a mother of 3. I have trained with Doula Training Canada and am so excited to bring more awareness and power to Momma's in PEI. I have given birth at home in Ontario and in a hospital in PEI so I can relate to moms looking for a more "natural" birth.
I want moms and dads to feel empowered and productive throughout the birth process. This is why I do what I do.
Erin Kuhn studied to become a Birth Doula at New Beginnings Doula School, based in Utah. As a mom of 3 she understands what it is like to be pregnant, in labour and to give birth in a hospital as well as at home. She believes in empowering women to believe in their bodies and to birth in the way/place that they choose. Pregnancy and birth is one of the most incredible journeys a woman will undertake and it would be Erin's pleasure to walk alongside you and support you every step of the way.
Erin believes that every woman should have the support they need and so she offers her services on a sliding scale. Based in Montague, she serves the East end of PEI.

I am a Doula with over 15 years experience, a classically trained Homeopath, Womb Wisdom educator & Reiki Master. My passion for birth-tending began with the birth of my eldest son. It was the most profound spiritual and empowering moment of my life. I was inspired to dive deeper, exploring all aspects of the sacredness of birth and traditional midwifery.
I weave Homeopathy, Reiki and Womb Wisdom into birth-tending giving me many tools to utilize during the journey from conception to birth. I offer this work without judgement and with the intention to facilitate births that are transforming and dignified. I know that babies born in peaceful circumstances, to informed, conscious parents, have the best chance of growing into healthy adults.
Homeopathy naturally supports women through all aspects of pregnancy, birth and beyond. It is safe, non-toxic, works very quickly, is capable of treating deep pathology as well as emotional distress. It is used by midwives all over the world; in India & parts of Europe it is used routinely in Obstetrics.
